A former bus monitor for the Wappingers Central School District was sentenced to 8 years in New York State prison Wednesday for felony first degree criminal sex act.
Charles Kane III of Hopewell Junction plead guilty on July 10 to having criminal sexual contact with a disabled teenager in his care. Kane, 58, admitted to forcing, the then 18 year old, to perform oral sex on him after exposing himself on a district school bus November 20, 2012.
Dutchess County Judge Stephen L. Greller also sentenced Kane to 10 years post-release supervision. He will have to register as a sex offender upon his release and pay fines in the sum of $1,425.
